Nate is the founder of Out of the Rough. He started We Know Fantasy (now dissolved into Out of the Rough) way back in 2018 when he left his career as a journalist for a new avenue for a way to continue writing. He started simply as a way to help those struggling with their fantasy football lineup options. From there, he began Out of the Rough during the pandemic in 2020 with his two lifelong best friends (Lenny & Sean.) In the early days, Out of the Rough and its podcast was strictly for DFS lineups. From there, he found his passion in outright betting on the PGA Tour. From there, it took off to what we see today. Nate is married to his high school sweetheart and has three sons. In his spare time, when he isn’t researching golf, betting on golf or playing golf, he is a sheep farmer. He describes his two greatest passions in line (outside of his family and being a father) being a sheep farmer and golf as a whole.

Andrew is a Brit who was bitten by the gambling bug watching the great jumps horses of the early 2000s, and retains a great fondness for the likes of Edredon Bleu, Harchibald and Moscow Flyer. He was there for the Frankel era on the flat and still follows racing with great enthusiasm. He moved into golf betting in the years following Tiger’s pomp, when prices were always too short for Phil and Tiger and the Brits on the PGA. He was running regression models on manually weighted statistics long before Strokes Gained came along. Nowadays he gets his kicks from following men’s golf into the most obscure corners that can be found, and gains a knowledge edge through following as much small tour golf as he can. Andrew writes for Out of the Rough on the Hotel Planner Tour (formerly Challenge Tour) and the Korn Ferry Tour, but also bets regularly on the Sunshine Tour, Asian Tour, Professional Golfer’s Tour of India and on amateur events, Q-schools, and whatever else he can find. He reluctantly bets on major championships, and on the PGA, LIV and DPWT as well. Away from golf, he’s a husband, father, financial consultant, and has no idea what he wants to do if he ever grows up.
