Fresh off the 2026 season opener in Riyadh, LIV Golf moves to Australia for this week’s LIV Golf Adelaide.

This year marks the fourth playing of LIV Golf Adelaide at The Grange Golf Club. The Grange Golf Club will host once again this season.

Last year a reported 105,000 fans attended this event that has been deemed “golf’s biggest party.”

This event had been voted as the world’s best golf tournament the past two seasons.

The Field

Fresh off the first event of the season in Riyadh, the Tour moves to Australia as all of its stars make the trip.

Headlined by Australia’s own Cam Smith this week, he’ll be looking to claim victory on home soil.

Fellow stars Byrson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm look to play spoiler on Smith’s homecoming.

Joaquin Niemann comes in as the defending champion, having this event be the first-of-five victories a season ago.

Niemann won by three strokes over the Mexican duo of Abraham Ancer and Carlos Ortiz.

Brendan Steele won in 2024 by a stroke over Louis Oosthuizen and Talor Gooch won the inaugural event in 2023 by three strokes over Anirban Lahiri.

The Course

The layout this week for LIV Gold Adelaide at The Grange Golf Club will be a composite of holes from both The Grange’s East and West course.

This course will be one of the shortest layouts on the LIV Golf Tour’s schedule as well. With that being said, expect some insanely low scores.

It plays as a par-72 at roughly 6,840 yards.

The past three editions have been winning scores of -13 (Niemann - 2025,) -18 (Steele - 2024) and -19 (Gooch - 2023) over just three rounds.

The par-three 12th, known as the ‘The Watering Hole’ emulated the 16th hole of the WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale. It’s guarded on all sides by ample stadium seats and creates a pressure-packed atmosphere.

In all, this course is nothing to write home about. It’s a short, compacted course that allows for low scoring.

The event itself is set up to be more of a spectacle and a party opposed to a challenging golf event.

The Weather

As of the time of writing this, there is essentially a zero-percent chance of precipitation across all four days. Winds will begin the week at 16 miles-per-hour on Thursday before settling to 15 miles-per-hour on Friday, 13 miles-per-hour on Saturday and 12 miles-per-hour on Sunday. Temperatures will be at the lowest on Thursday at 75-degrees before increasing to 78-degrees on Friday, 86-degrees on Saturday and ending the week at 90-degrees on Sunday.

Key Stats

  • Birdie-or-Better Percentage

  • Hit Fairway Percentage

  • Greens in Regulation Percentage (GIR%)

  • Putting Average

  • Scrambling

Betting Card

Bryson DeChambeau (+1000)

Anytime I can get double-digits on DeChambeau, I’m going to be tempted to take it. He finished the 2025 LIV Golf Tour season first on Tour in scrambling, third in birdie-or-better percentage, ninth in putting average, tenth in greens in regulation percentage and 14th in hit fairway percentage. He placed T17th last week in Riyadh. DeChambeau placed 18th here a season ago, 26th in 2024 and 26th in 2023. He hasn’t been great at this event but again, the number is right.

Carlos Ortiz (+2800)

Ortiz was one-of-two runner-ups to Joaquin Niemann at this event a season ago. He also placed 22nd here in 2024 and 36th in 2023. Ortiz also placed T13th last week in Riyadh. He finished last season ninth on Tour in birdie-or-better percentage, 12th in putting average, 15th in greens in regulation percentage, 30th in hit fairway percentage and 30th in scrambling.

Charl Schwartzel (+9000)

Schwartzel has been extremely good at this event since its inception in 2023. He placed 12th here a season ago, third in 2024 and seventh in 2023. He placed T30th last week in Riyadh. Schwartzel finished the 2025 LIV Golf Season first on Tour in putting average, eighth in scrambling, 11th in birdie-or-better percentage, 22nd in hit fairway percentage and 38th in greens in regulation percentage.
