Derrius Guice might have the unluckiest start to his NFL career. He final gets the chance to take snaps in a real NFL game, and he’s already hurt. News has come out today, Sept 10th, that it is a meniscus tear. These can last anywhere from 6-to-8 weeks. Despite Washington coaching staff hopeful that he will be ready by next Monday, I for one am doubtful.

Chris Thompson becomes the guy to own in the meantime. Washington is not a good team, which means they’ll be playing from behind a lot. Thompson played 36 snaps for Washington against the Eagles on Sunday, which gave him a 62% playtime. He had 7 receptions on 10 targets. Thompson may be injury prone, but if Guice misses time he is the guy to own in this Washington back field.
